When you moved in to the Grand, you probably thought ‘Where can I get a coffee around here?’ or ‘Where’s a late-night chemist?’ Well, here are some answers (thanks Fred and Beth for the chemist listing). If you’d like some good coffee within walking distance, try these cafés.
You may be interested in the corner development at the northern end of the Grand. The Media House building next door has now been completed, with the front court grassed and bordered with eucalypts.
And round the corner into Flinders Street are several smaller shops and one or two restaurants as well as a newly opened coin-operated laundry. The laundry door is where the young man is standing in the photo:
